I am in a surgical or allied specialty
Unfortunately, we are currently not looking for surgery, orthopaedics or gynaecology. It might be possible in the future that these posts become available for core surgical training. You may wish to go down the route of Medical training initiative to get targeted training for your area of interest.
What if my spouse is in medicine?
If this is the case, you are entitled to work as yuor spouse’s dependent. You will need to get GMC registration which will be through PLAB or MRCS. you might find it easier to get an MTI once you are in this country as you are no longer restricted by visa.
There are some opportunities for a Masters degree through EDGE HILL university and you may wish to explore this. This is a paid university course, but will help you gain training, and income.
