Do not apply to the GMC till this process is complete. Otherwise your application will be rejected.
Once the interview is complete and you have received your Job Offer, please apply to the GMC for registration. When you apply, put Manchester University Hospital as your sponsoring body. I will get a notification. At this time I will send your certificate of sponsorship. You will have to register with GMC online, and put your application for GMC registration.
At this point
a) GMC will acknowledge it and email the doctor a list of documents that they need to send .
b) The GMC will copy me into the email so that I will know an application has been made. I will send the Certificate of sponsorship to the GMC.
Processing an application can take a number of weeks and doctors should allow at least two months before they want their registration to start. GMC will not be able to provide you with updates during this period. However when an application is approved, GMC will copy you in on the doctor’s confirmation email.
